| | Brick Pavers Why We are Different | | | | A lot of landscape companies install brick pavers. A select few do them properly. Why is that do you suppose? I have found that the only reason can be that the other companies don't care. I do care. That's why I hire only the best craftsmen when it comes to detailed work like building patios, driveways, walkways, steps, retaining walls and outdoor kitchens. It is very important to get the job done right the first time when we build these structures. A lot of calculation goes into these projects. I take into account what type of traffic will be moving over these surfaces. The compacted base material is often the most important material on the job. On walkways I use 6-8" of compacted gravel. On driveways I'll have 10 - 12". Also we always use a geosynthetic fabric between our existing subsoil and our base gravel. Occasionally we encounter a high water table and we find that the ground is "pumping" when we walk over it. Its how we handle these problems and overcome them that sets us apart from others. Another important area is making the cuts. Its crucial that the smallest of cuts looks correct. 25 years of experience accomplishes this. All of our brick paver work as well as our segmented retaining walls are constructed with great care and attention to detail.
