| | Steep Driveway | | | | This client has a fairly steep and shady driveway. We built this wall so that it would appear level despite the hill. We had to cut into the hill at least 3 feet to allow for the setting of the boulders and the stone backfill. As you can see this wall looks as though it has been here much longer than when we completed it - two hours ago! The client wanted to open his car doors and not hit the wall or the natural shrubbery. We planted sod at the base of the wall to eliminate any erosion. Because of the deep shade we planted impatients that will grow well above the wall. | |
