Boulder Retaining Wall in Davisburg Michigan

These 3′ boulders are holding up a new stamped concrete sidewalk as well as back dropping a large pond in Davisburg, Michigan. In this project we built the boulder wall first, before we excavated the pond. As usual we have heavy duty geotextile fabric behind all boulders. These boulders are 3′ wide and 2′ tall typical. I try and select round and blocky boulders, but they are natural stone so we have to work with what we have. This wall was intentionally constructed to blend with the boulders incorporated in the waterfalls as well as to fit in with the existing backyard ambiance.
