Boulder Wall in Novi, Michigan
This boulder wall was constructed to replace a rotting railroad tie wall in Novi, Michigan. We used 2 – 3′ sized boulders that were consistently round and blocky. Below the walls we put 8″ of compacted crushed limestone. Behind all our boulder and limestone walls we install 6 oz. heavy duty geotextile fabric that prevents future erosion and stabilizes our wall. This wall was 90′ long by 3′ tall typical. We had to completely remove the pool fence and reinstall it with concrete footings. Demolition and construction of this wall took two days.
