Contemporary Home Landscaped in Milford Michigan
This client wanted a landscape that was beautiful, of course, but we had to choose plant material that deer would ignore. This property is actually located deep in the woods, but it gets alot of morning sun. We have been successful with Dwarf Lilac, River Birch, Burning Bush, Barberry, Old Gold Juniper, English Ivy, Myrtle, Holly, and Japanese Maple. So far the deer are not eating these, but the client sees many deer every day in his yard. On the shady island that is surrounded by driveway we have planted Daylillys and some other perennials and so far the deer have been unable to cross the steep driveway with their hoofs, Let’s hope that continues!
