Stone Steps in Walled Lake Michigan
These stone steps were built at the same time that we replaced the retaining wall here at this home. These steps will take you to a walkway of large Bluestone stepstones that lead to the back yard. The Limestone steps are 4-5’ wide typical and @ 61/2” thick. Each step is set on crushed stone base, leveled and tapered so water runs off. The Bluestone flagstone stepstones are 3-4’ long and 2’ wide typical, 2” thick. They are very heavy and require a machine to bring and set them. Each is leveled and adjusted as needed.
